In consultation with TheEdwardMorganBallet and Fashion Dance Runway, Turtlehorn and the Aletheia Talent Group (ATG) are pleased to announce our model and talent development workshop in Manchester, UK, which can include opportunities for co-management by ATG and Turtlehorn designer María Voth Velasco through ATG's Discovery Program.
Fashion & Costume Designer and Advisor to TheEdwardMorganBallet, Turtlehorn makes genderless clothes out of recycled materials, with an eye toward diversity, sustainability, and authentic communal expression. Turtlehorn showcased at DOORS NYC in Feb. '24 and Flying Solo Productions in Sept. '23, and has been featured in British Vogue.
Fashion Dance Runway is an educational training program through movement classes, audition and casting techniques, runway execution, and confidence building that lets each model embrace their self-awareness to attack photo and video shoots with strength and rhythm.
Fashion Dance Runway will be choreographed by Edward Morgan and directed by Joseph Alexander. Morgan was a former principal of the original Joffrey Ballet NYC, the first black director of Joffrey II, and choreographer of the internationally successful television dance show Club MTV.
Morgan now choreographing his own company with Alexander as the company's lead dancer. The company has performed in Carnegie Hall, The Danny Kaye Playhouse, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Florence Gould Hall at the French Institute, and created the original Bryant Park Dance Festival and Ballet For The Homeless at The Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen. The company has also performed at the United Nations, and UNESCO in Paris, France.
