A New Chapter in Sustainable Fashion for Turtlehorn 

At Turtlehorn, sustainability has always been at the heart of what we do, stying true to ourselves and our slow-fashion values. But being sustainable or ethical responsible isn’t just about making fashion from recycled materials or manufacturing under good working conditions, or following sustainable trends — it’s about constant evolution and making bold decisions that align with our values. That’s why we are entering a new phase, redefining how we create, present, and share our work with the world.

One of the biggest shifts is our move away from online retail. We have decided to exit all third-party online stores and focus exclusively on our own website, www.turtlehorn.com. This allows us to connect more directly with our customers and their direct needs, maintain the integrity and uniqueness of our designs, and reduce overproduction and waste.

Wearable Art Movement 

Experiencing WAE during our last NYFW on February 2025, was a significant turning point for Turtlehorn. Turtlehorn is more than just a fashion brand—it is wearable art.

To reinforce this philosophy, we are moving into select physical stores and art galleries, creating a synergy between fashion and art. We want our collections to be experienced as more than garments; they are statements, conversation starters, and reflections of a sustainable future. By presenting our pieces in curated spaces, we open the door to new dialogues on craftsmanship, sustainability, and social impact.

To further expand accessibility to sustainable fashion, we are launching a rental system. This means that almost entire Turtlehorn collections will be available to rent at affordable prices, making high-quality, sustainable fashion more inclusive. – For both, wearable art pieces or so called «statement pieces» and more regular but unique,ready to wear, wearable collection pieces. 

Our partnership with Wauwcloset in Utrecht is an exciting step in this direction, offering people the chance to engage with our designs in a flexible, responsible way for any occasion. For renting out one piece or a whole outfit for a special day, a journey, tour, Fashion Week, concert, TV presentation, or a regular month full of new clothes to wear and experiment with unique style combinations; that is definitely the place to rent! And if you fall in love with one of our pieces, it can be yours too! 

This new direction for Turtlehorn isn’t just a change in strategy—it’s a statement about the future of fashion and moving forward with the brand in our current times. By stepping away from higher consumption, embracing artistic collaboration, and promoting a circular economy through rentals, we are shaping a world where fashion is conscious, expressive, and timeless.
